We are currently looking for energetic, outgoing and detail oriented candidates to fill an open Medical Assistant Instructor position for our North Brunswick campus. 
Full Time hours available are approx M-F 3p-11p
Part Time hours available are approx M-F 7p-11p

Overview of the position’s responsibilities:

Maintain a teaching assignment for each module.
Instruct the assigned course(s) in accordance with the approved curriculum.
Ensure that the quality and quantity of instruction provided in the classroom is consistent with the stated objectives of the school and industry.
Maintain a daily record of student attendance and grades in accordance with school policy.
Ensure that the classroom and school’s atmosphere is conductive to maximum learning and retention of students.


 

The attributes and qualities that are desired: 

Qualified candidates must have at least 3 years of experience and be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
CMS or RMA a plus
Teaching experience a plus but not required - training will be provided.
The desire to help others succeed in their career goals.

Occupational Therapist - OT
Screens and assesses occupational therapy needs of individual adults and/or students in the public school or other community setting; plans and implements treatment programs; documents and reports activities

At least one year of experience
NJ licensure as an occupational therapist
NJ Department of Education Certification as an Occupational therapist may be required


Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA
Under supervision of Therapy Coordinator and Supervising OTR, implements occupational therapy services for students including formal and informal assessments, treatment and documentation

Graduate of an AOTA approved occupational therapy assistant program and successful completion of AOTA Certification Examination
New Jersey State License and National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapist (NBCOT) and approval by State of NJ.


Physical Therapist – PT
Screens, assesses and/or evaluates physical therapy needs of individual child; plans and implements treatment programs upon receipt of written authorization; documents and reports activities

Bachelor's Degree and/or Certificate in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association approved institution or equivalent
Completion of a clinical affiliation in physical therapy with handicapped children
New Jersey licensure as a Registered Physical Therapist
NJ Department of Education certification as a School Physical Therapist

Primary job responsibilities include teaching Pharmacy Technician courses according to specified learning outcomes; evaluating student performance; academic advising and career related counseling to students; actively engage in retention activities; identify and assist at-risk students; maintain competency and currency in pharmacy technology research, trends, issues, and practices, including effective teaching strategies and assessment methods; and provide support for program and institutional initiatives.  
 

Teach courses as assigned by Program Director (generally, up to 32 clock hours per week within no more than five preparations in different subjects; however, course assignments are not guaranteed and may vary based upon availability, scheduling needs, or other requirements)
Actively engage in retention activities including documented communication with both students and administration regarding attendance and progress
Assist students with course registration and academic advice as requested by the Program Director
Provide assistance for the planning, development and maintenance of program curriculum
Work with the Program Director to resolve student concerns
Mentor select groups of new faculty and maintain continuity of curriculum
Assist in the classroom review of adjunct faculty
Provide annual documentation of continuing professional growth in one’s field
Attend regularly scheduled program meetings, academic in-service workshops, and college-wide faculty meetings
Attend Pharmacy Technician advisory board meetings at least twice a year
Manage special projects as formally assigned by the Program Director or Director of Education (including, but not limited to, the organization and posting of student work for display; assistance with orientation programs and open houses; assistance with accreditation preparation)
Adhere to and publicly support academic policies and procedures, including but not limited to the faculty handbook and catalog
